Garden Plants and Their Habitats

This course is part of the Garden Plants and Their Habitats module. After completing it, you will be able to identify garden plants and understand the importance of their habitat. You will learn about cultivation systems used in Nordic garden farming and gain insight into the specific features of Finland’s climate and environmental conditions. You will be able to apply knowledge about field and growth medium cultivation characteristics and maintain growth conditions in line with the principles of sustainable development.

You will also learn the taxonomy of garden plants and the terminology used in the garden business. Additionally, you will understand the importance of teamwork, plan your own learning, and develop your career path.
