After completing this course, you will be familiar with the use of concrete and concrete products in Finnish construction.
You will know the basics of the properties of concrete mix and the impact of various ingredients. You will learn the factors affecting the handling of concrete mix and the development of concrete strength, as well as the properties of hardened concrete. You will recognize where different precast concrete elements are used and the main structural properties of concrete. You will understand the environmental impacts of concrete construction and know the methods to influence the carbon footprint.
