Circular economy toolkit explains how businesses can move from a linear “take-make-dispose” model to a system that minimizes waste and maximizes resource efficiency through principles of circular economy. The toolkit provides practical methods such as resource and material flow analysis, analysis of intangible resources, a circular business model canvas and a circular economy advisory checklist. It also outlines the role of advisors in raising awareness, offering strategic guidance, fostering partnerships, and ensuring compliance with regulations. By adopting these principles, companies can reduce environmental impact, cut costs, create new revenue streams, and strengthen competitiveness. The toolkit is part of the Target Circular project, which supports SMEs in Northern Europe in transitioning to sustainable business models.
