Basics in Programming Y1

Recommended prerequisites: The ability to use a typical personal computer and basic applications such as e-mail. No prior programming knowledge is required.

After the course a student can implement small programs in the Python programming language and can apply basic programming concepts to solve small programming tasks. After the course the student understands the basic functionality of a computation device and how one can control it with programs.

Implementations are not necessarily organised in all the languages of study attainments marked for the study unit. When registering, check to see that the course implementation you are registering for may be completed in the language you want, as some languages apply only to certain implementations.
