The purpose of the degree programme is to educate leaders in the social and healthcare sector, particularly at lower and middle management levels, as well as experts to meet the needs of wellbeing services counties, specialised healthcare, primary healthcare, social services, and the private sector. The degree programme is multidisciplinary, and students come from both the business field and the social and healthcare sector.
Sustainable leadership in the social and healthcare sector seeks to maintain and promote high-quality and effective services. It is an essential part of change in the social and healthcare sector, aiming to ensure equitable, efficient, and long-term services. Sustainable leadership takes into account both current and future needs in accordance with the principles of sustainability, considering the societal, ecological, and economic context.
