The Laurea community is comprised of approximately 10,200 students, 680 staff members and over 36,000 Laurea alumni. Studies at Laurea focus on real-life assignments that meet the needs of the world of work, allowing students to network and learn important skills needed in the world of work. Laurea engages in applied research, development, and innovation (RDI) with the aim of generating new researched knowledge and practices to advance sustainable development goals. In 2023, Laurea was awarded the Quality Label for Excellence in higher education by the Finnish Educational Evaluation Centre for its quality development work.
