During the course the students learn in lectures and team meetings how futures-oriented business intelligence can be applied to create and shape markets. The students work on pre- and post-assignments individually and in teams to enforce and reflect their learning. The assignments are designed to learn about: 1) business intelligence 2) market creation and shaping 3) futures research methods in understanding changing business environment

After the course a student knows how to observe changes in the global business environment. A student also knows the basics of market creation and market shaping. A student knows how to apply futures research methods to collect and interpret data to understand and drive changes in international markets. The course has an important role in helping students to become tomorrow’s global leaders by showing how foresight can be embedded in business intelligence. This enables students to see how companies can influence markets by having a systemic understanding of a changing business environment.
