It brings together phenomenon based learning, which organises learning around authentic and interdisciplinary phenomena, and Universal Design for Learning, which supports the design of multiple learning pathways so that all learners can engage and succeed.

Developed under the TEACH-PHEN project and adapted for Finnish higher education, the edition speaks to lecturers, educators, counsellors, and supervisors who design learning and assessment for higher education students. The handbook provides concise pedagogical guidance for accessible phenomenon-based
learning projects, illustrative case examples, and a comprehensive planning template to make inclusive, accessible phenomenonbased teaching practical across courses and study programmes.
