After the course you are able to

• record business transactions in the accounting records
• assess the profitability of an organization
• use different management accounting techniques
• compile financial reports to support decision making

The course is worth 5 ECTS credits, which corresponds to approximately 135 hours of student workload.

A Canvas workspace is used to support the implementation. The course includes scheduled teaching and guidance both on campus and online. Online teaching is not recorded. The course includes working individually and in groups.

At Laurea, there are two different procedures for the recognition and accreditation of prior learning: a) accreditation of prior learning (competence acquired in higher education studies at another institution) and b) demonstration of competence (competence acquired in other ways). The recognition and accreditation of prior learning is initiated by the student themselves. The student is responsible for demonstrating and verifying their competence.
