This is an advanced-level Master’s course that requires relevant prior university-level studies in the field. Please check possible prerequisites under “Prerequisites.”

The course explores strategic human resource management and human resource development as drivers of organizational competitiveness. It examines the connections between HRM, business strategy, responsible leadership, and long-term organizational success.

The course builds on students’ prior understanding of key HRM concepts, processes, practices, and metrics, and challenges them to critically examine these from different theoretical perspectives. During the course, you will deepen your ability to evaluate the effectiveness of HRM, identify organizational development needs, and justify what kinds of leadership practices support sustainable success in changing working life and business environments.

The course is built around diverse and experiential pedagogical approaches. You can also shape your own learning path by selecting modules that match your interests and deciding whether to complete them independently or collaboratively in groups.
