Place-Based Management on a Global Scale (open uni, integrated into degree education, autumn 2024 - spring 2025) (online / independent study)

Sufficient oral and written English language skills; sufficient capacity for electronic participation.

By the end of the course students will: see a connection between climate change, geopolitics, technology, culture and economy, as well as holistic nature of global change in general, learn how to describe some of the central processes which are behind global change, understand how global networks and phenomena are relational but can be managed and utilised on the local level. Students will also be encouraged to apply previously learned studies and knowledge of the society in a global change setting by inspecting their root causes in a critical and exploratory manner.

Will be shared on the courses Moodle-page. Contains videos, articles, news, figures, slides and statistics.

Course can be independently studied online on a 24/7-basis and lecture diaries can be returned once in Autumn and once in Spring -period. NOTE: Equivalent to the previous course HTK2106 Global Change Management, 5 ECTS.
