Information Systems Project

The ‘TECH3040: Project Management: Methods, Tools, and Applications’ course must be completed or in the process of finalization prior to this course.

Upon satisfactory completion of this course, students should be able to:
• Understand the Tasks of a Project Manager (PM) in Information Systems (IS) Projects
• Explain the Characteristics of Information Systems Projects
• Understand the Process of Writing a Project Proposal
• Analyze and Critique Scientific Articles on Project Management
• Execute project management methodologies/ISD methods (e.g., PMBoK, Agile) for an IS project.
• Propose a solution for the client’s problem, such as developing a product, designing a prototype, or generating a new idea.

Additionally, the course develops:
Problem-solving and decision-making skills (developing project tasks, making project decisions, decision-making skills of a project manager)
Communication skills (internal and external communication within the group)
Interaction skills (interaction with the client)
