Democratic Innovations Reforming Citizen Participation

After completing the course, the student understands the significance and diversity of participation and has the skills to work with fourth sector actors and participate in the planning and implementation of various dialogical and deliberative participation models. The course strengthens the following common learning objectives of the major in Public Policy and Management: the ability to manage organizations, regions, and networks based on information and aiming for sustainability, and the ability to develop the activities of organizations, regions, and networks, taking into account their specific characteristics. The student also develops problem-solving and interaction skills. In terms of sustainable development, the goal is to learn ways to ensure healthy lives and well-being for all ages and to promote partnerships between the public and private sectors and civil society.
