Business Development in Practice

This is an advanced-level Master’s course that requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or another Bachelor-level degree, as well as at least 30 ECTS credits in business studies.

This course provides students with the skills to analyze business operations, identify organizational development needs, and make relevant suggestions to strengthen business growth and profitability. Students will learn to apply the tools they acquire during the course to solve practical problems.

Students will develop their ability to critically evaluate business performance and environments, systematically collect and analyze data, and create well-founded proposals that support strategic decision-making and improve organizational performance. Additionally, they will learn to work under pressure in teams, consider different perspectives, and contribute to the achievement of common goals. During the course, student will enhance their ability to assess the sustainability and responsibility of business strategies. The course applies theories of strategic management and business development to real-world situations and addresses complex business problems.

Upon completing the course, students will be able to collect, organize, and present complex information to different stakeholders, such as management teams and clients, while utilizing tools for data analysis, communication, decision-making, and presentation in the business environment. They will have the ability to operate in real business contexts and create tailored, credible proposals for company management.

The course is part of the mandatory studies in the Master's program in Business Development. The right to study is granted to Master's students in Business Development (LIKE) at the Seinäjoki and Kokkola campuses.
