Career planning - self-study course

After completing the course, students understand the significance of career planning in their lives and are able to assess their career readiness. Students obtain tools for identifying their values, competences, development needs and motivations and understand the impact they have on their career choices. Students learn to assess their ability to study. They also learn how to utilize their strengths in transitions and changes towards their career goals. They perceive changes in working life, map out different career opportunities and learn to activate their networks. During the course, students compile a concrete career plan. This will enhance their goal-orientation and decision-making. The course develops the following generic competences: Recognizing and developing one’s own expertise, interaction and communication.

Material to be distributed during the course.

- The course is open to all undergraduate and graduate students, students with the alumni study right and open university students. The course is best suited for bachelor-level students in their first year of studies or later. - The course is best suited to be integrated into the PSP process conducted in the academic subjects. - All communication related to the completion of the course takes place in the course’s eLearn environment.
