Intermediate studies

The course focuses on the different approaches and theories of curriculum and on the curriculum planning as teaching community’s work and its connections to teaching practices and learning environments. Course introduces also more broadly the starting points and questions of educational evaluation and the meaning of development-led assessment and evaluation in and for the improvement of education and learning.

What you will learn

The student:

- understands the societal and pedagogical meaning of curriculum and educational evaluation and assessment

- knows the multiplicity of curriculum and curriculum planning work and its connections to teaching cultures and pedagogical practices

- knows different forms, starting points and policy levels of assessment and evaluation

- understands the meaning of development-led assessment and evaluation as a part of the improvement of education and learning
