Orientation to Clinical Training: Anaesthetised Patients in the Operating Theatre

At the beginning of the elective vocational studies, the student must have completed 135 credits. These should include the theoretical studies and orientation to practical training of the area which the student has chosen for the elective studies, as well as courses in anatomy and physiology. The requred area is Perioperative Nursing. Completion or current participation in the course Perioperative Nursing

The student - is able to gather equipment needed for the patient’s care and is able to check their operation and safety for use - is able to carry out patient’s medication, including medication calculation - is able to carry out aseptic actions in patient care - is able to maintain the continuity of care through oral reports as well as using manual and electronic documentation
