Using Finnish in Tourism and Hospitality

The recommended level of Finnish before the course is A2.1.

The aim is to get to know the language needed in the tourism and hospitality industry. The students will practice communicating in Finnish in various customer service situations. Target language proficiency level after the course is A2.2. and after the course students will be able to survive better in Finnish at work in the tourism and hospitality industry. Learning Outcomes Upon completing the course, the student will be able to: - Briefly tell about their work and work tasks in Finnish. - Discuss in person and communicate via e-mail in easy situations at work or studies: to ask, to answer and suggest things. - Know the appropriate way of communicating in different situations of Finnish culture. - Understand and produce simple texts in their area of expertise. - Use customer service phrases in easy situations in the tourism and hospitality industry and strengthen vocabulary skills.
