Upon completing the course, the student: * Knows the principles of health-promoting nutrition and can apply them in teaching different age groups * Understand the psychological, social and economic individual and societal factors related to eating and nutrition * Knows the principles of prevention and nutritional treatment of the most common nutritional and public health problems * Knows the special features of the most common special diets and knows the special issues of nutrition related to the present * Understand the environmental meanings related to nutrition and relate them to health-promoting food choices * Understands the importance of health education literacy and media criticality in processing nutrition-related information and maintaining one's own expertise * Knows where to look for reliable additional information and discusses nutrition-related questions with justification
