Ancient DNA opens the door to the past in an unprecedented way. In this course, which can be completed independently at your own pace, we go through what ancient DNA actually is, from where we can get it and how it can be analyzed. Also, the ancient DNA laboratory of the University of Oulu will be introduced through video presentations. If you want to know how ancient communities, mammoths, Neanderthals and much more can be studied genetically, this course is for you.
