Introduction to geographic information, maps and spatial methods (OPEN UNI)

Spatial information can include historical events, movement of people, place names, archaeological sites, and even settings in books. Spatial methods to study this information can be used in various fields. In this online course, the student gets to explore some basic spatial methods using GIS tools, and to increase her/his understanding of the interpretation of maps.
Main contents:
- using digital geospatial data
- producing maps considering basic elements
- indicating change, regional differences, and proximity by spatial analyses
