What is corpus linguistics? What sources and methods are used in digital history research? What kind of material does the some offer and what are the ethical issues involved in its use? In this course, students will study a topic of their choice in the field of digital humanities, deepening their understanding by reading the literature or by working on an assignment agreed with the teacher.

What you will learn

On completion of the course, the student will: - have deepened their knowledge of digital materials and their analytical methods from the perspective of their own special field (e.g. digital cultural heritage, language technology, humanities technology studies, some and online studies, or digital history). - understand the potential of digital humanities - be aware of the ethical dimensions of research
