Objectives and phases of statistical research, from research plan to practice, formation of observational data, principles of statistical reasoning, study designs, possible biases in the study, presentation of results, statistical significance and clinical significance. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses.

What you will learn

After completing the course, the student is able to: Evaluate various health science publications and channels from the perspective of the discipline Critically evaluate and use information sources. Knows the basics of research integrity and responsible conduct of research. Use the key reference databases of health sciences in research Critically evaluate search results and publications Apply reference management programs independently Plan the research and publication process in health science research Compare quantitative research designs in health science research. Assess the role of different types of statistical bias and chance in health science research. Plan the implementation of quantitative research Collect quantitative data in health science research Apply the principles and basic methods of statistical reasoning. Critically evaluate research publications that apply statistical methods. Interpret and report quantitative research results in health science research
