Introduction to AI ethics. Overview of different ethical and privacy issues related to AI and learning analytics use in educational context. Data protection as an important part of privacy. Familiarizing with a critical approach literature to AI and learning analytics. Introduction to students' agency and AI literacy. Individual and group work on assignment. Critical evaluation of selected AI tools in educational context.

You can complete the course with a scope of 1-5 credits. The study fee is 75 euros despite the scope of completed studies.

What you will learn

After the course student:   * Is aware of key ethical and privacy issues of artificial intelligence (AI) and learning analytics.   * Can critically review AI and learning analytics applications in educational contexts from ethical and privacy perspectives and recognize risks and challenges. * Knows different approaches to privacy and its importance for individual and society. * Can reflect the benefits, challenges and risks of AI and learning analytics in broader educational and societal contexts. * Can apply ethical principles and legal frameworks for evaluating AI and learning analytics applications.
