Elementary Course in Portuguese I (OPEN UNI)

The course introduces the basic structures of Portuguese grammar and the basic vocabulary. Listening, reading and pronunciation exercises, as well as discussion and writing exercises. The course will help you develop your interaction skills in Portuguese and introduce you to the cultures of Portuguese-speaking countries. Topics include e.g., customs, parties, talking about one self, family and studies, interests and hobbies, housing, making appointments, services, restaurant and travel situations. Grammatical structures include e.g., the present tense of the indicative, modal verbs, reflexive verbs and pronouns, the simple perfect, subject, accusative and dative pronouns, possessive words, prepositions, indefinites, numbers, dates, conjunctions, word order in the main sentence and question sentence.
