Creative Medias, Gender, Society (OPEN UNI)

As a recommendation, the student has completed 1-3 courses of the obligatory studies (AY687514P, AY00AL93 ja AY00AL94) before participating this course.

Upon completion of this course, the students will be able to identify and specify different features and dimensions of audiovisual media culture and describe the sociocultural factors influencing these. The students will learn to apply their critical interpretation to observing cultural representations in audiovisual media for instance in relation to gender and agency.

This course is a part of voluntary studies (total 10 ECTS credits) included in the minor studies (total 25 ECTS credits) of Film Studies.
