In this course, the student will acquire deeper insight and knowledge (compared to the basic studies course) of neural mechanisms of cognitive processes and methods for studying them. The cognitive processes covered include, for example, perception, language, memory and learning, attention, executive function, and emotion. The course also covers topics related to brain damage and neurological disorders. In addition, the student will be introduced to current research topics in the field of cognitive neuroscience.
