The aim of the course is acquiring basic competence relating to the service system for employment and work ability, its areas and its operation. Students will also learn about factors and situations associated with challenges to employment and work ability and find ways to resolve situations as part of cooperation networks.

Operating in a workplace: You understand the significance of maintaining, assessing and promoting work ability from the perspectives of the individual, the organisation and society. You have an understanding of work, the transformation of work and Finnish working life. You know challenges to employment and work ability affecting working-age people.
Rehabilitation service system: You are familiar with the roles of actors providing support for employment and work ability, their network, and the legislation that governs the activities. You know the third-sector services that support continuing at work and employment.
Rehabilitation planning: In your work role, you are able to operate as part of a multidisciplinary network and system.
