The course covers the roles and tasks of a human resources specialist, with a particular focus on the planning and implementation of a human resources strategy. You will become familiar with the legislation guiding HR processes, the employment contract system and the key theories that form the basis of HR management practices. The course examines the importance of personnel surveys in organizational development and decision-making, as well as how employer branding and employee experience affect organizational success, and how personnel plans are designed to support organizational goals. Recruitment and onboarding are also key themes that help to understand how to attract and integrate new employees into the organization.

What you will learn

The object of the course The object of the course is to provide capabilities for working in HR expert duties and in managerial positions by familiarizing the student with the processes of personnel management and the legislation and theories that govern them. Course competences Business Competence: The student knows the central theories related to this specialization option. The student possesses at least an advanced beginner’s skills in the practical tasks of the specialization option. Learning to learn: Also takes responsibility for group learning and sharing what has been learned. Proactive development: Solves problem situations creatively and reforms operating methods together with others. The learning objectives of the course You know the roles and duties of a human resources professional. You are familiar with the main principles of the legislation governing HR processes, the collective agreement system and the theories related to human resources planning, recruitment and induction, and identify HR processes in practice. You are capable of taking responsibility for your own actions and participate in the group’s activities in workshops.
