Intergroup Processes

Intermediate studies

The course examines various research traditions and approaches studying socio-psychological group processes and relationships between groups and students will learn how to analyse the group-internal and group-external dynamics with the help of, for example, theories on social identity, social influencing or prejudice and discrimination. In addition, the course familiarises students with theories and studies aiming to explain social change and find ways to affect the dynamics of group relations. Furthermore, the course examines the significance and the scientific potential of these questions in solving topical social issues.
