Russian for beginners 2 (CEFR A1)

Starting level: CEFR А1(Opens in a new tab), KK-VEN002 Russian for Beginners 1 or corresponding studies, approximately 4–5 credits.

After completing the course, students will be able to handle the most routine interaction in Russian. Among other things, they will

• Be able to talk more generally about themselves, their family and friends and their everyday life
• Be able to tell about past and future events and use expressions of time
• Be able to express their feelings
• Be able to handle uncomplicated service and travel situations.

Depending on the group, one of the following:

• Dolmatova & Novacac: Tochka ru A2, textbook and workbook, chapters 3.4–6.1
• Kampus.ru(Opens in a new tab) 2 (available on the course Moodle area)
• Other material announced by the teacher.

Participation in teaching (contact teaching/blended learning/on-line learning).

There are several completion methods for the course; for details, see the group-specific information. Depending on the completion method, the number of hours for real-time online learning is 24–48 and for independent learning 60–108.

Active participation (at least 75% attendance) and completion of agreed assignments in the time allotted.

Assessment is based on the learning outcomes. The teacher will make a separate announcement on written and oral coursework and examinations.

Students monitor their progress and receive regular feedback on their learning.

Students of all degree programmes, students with a JOO flexible study right, international students.

The course can also be offered as open university education.

First and second teaching periods, third and fourth teaching periods.
