Politics and Economies in Asia

Upon completion of this study, students should be able to do the following:

• Identify the similarities and differences of economic or political-economic systems in different Asian societies
• Critically compare the changing consumption behaviors and preferences in different Asian societies.

The course methods of implementation include contact teaching, online teaching, and independent teaching via Moodle course areas, depending on the specific course. The exact modes of implementation and the attendance requirements for the course are always announced by the teacher responsible for an individual course.

Grading scale is 0-5. Assessment practices vary according to the taught course. In general, assessment will evaluate those learning outcomes that have been set for the individual taught courses. Students will be evaluated based on their class attendance and participation, case studies, exams, and team presentations. Moreover, students’ self-evaluation or peer evaluation assessments can be used.
