Introduction to Social Statistics, Part 2

After completing the course, students will understand the importance of statistics applied in social sciences and statistical inference to their own studies, professional life and future. They will be proficient in the basic concepts belonging to the content of the course and know how to assess various probabilities related to various practical phenomena. Students will understand uncertainties related to statistical research and know how to critically assess statistical tests and confidence intervals. They will also know how to interpret the basic results of linear regression analysis and one-way analysis of variance as well as assess the sensibility of regression model assumptions based on graphic model diagnostics. In addition, students will know the basics of statistical R programming and be aware of the principles of open science. Many of the aspects of the course are important professional life skills.
