International Agricultural Trade and Trade Theory

The course introduces students to the concepts and tools necessary to analyse international trade in food and agricultural products. The teaching is broken down in three complementary sections.
1) A brief overview of trade theory highlighting the drivers and consequences of international trade
2) The analysis of government intervention in international markets for agri-food products
3) A presentation of current issues in international agricultural trade.
