This study unit provides an in-depth understanding of Indigenous peoples in the global world. It provides a critical understanding of Indigeneity and its reconceptualization in time. The unit examines Indigenous epistemologies, education, and schooling from a critical perspective. The complex relations between Indigenous languages, cognitive structures, emotions, and knowledge are examined. This study unit also analyses the benefits and challenges concerning the synergy of different knowledges.
