The course explores the central concepts and theories of public social psychology that are applied to examination of the connection between the individual mind and society. The course familiarises students with both classical studies and the latest trends. In particular, the course explores the significance of images, multimodality and visuality in social-psychological research on contemporary societies. The course examines the formation and use of everyday thinking and images in the context of, for example, the media, politics, history, school, health, illness and advertising.
