The State and political action
5 cr
During the course, students delve deeper into the history of state-society relations and political action. The course examines the power relations of society and their management methods, changes, and continuities. The course focuses on the forms, opportunities, and changes of political and social participation. In other words, how different states and societies have shaped the boundaries of political action and participation, the political relations between the state and citizens, NGOs, and interest groups, and the balance of power. Aside from the long history, the focus is on the modern, post-World War II era (including the welfare state).
