Finland in the Global Economy

The course provides an overview of Finland’s economic history over the past 200 years in light of the latest research. Finland’s development as a Nordic economy and part of the world economy is examined from an empirical and statistical perspective. The themes discussed include the stages of Finland’s economic growth, economic restructuring, economic crises, the development of living standards and income inequalities, and the main trends of economic policy.
