Generations, mobilities and inequalities (Economic and Social history)

After completing the course, students understand the economic, social, and political factors underlying social and regional mobility. They understand that the focus of social history is on the temporal dynamics of society’s phenomena. They are able to analyse the mechanisms of social discontinuities and continuities and draw attention to how individuals and groups both react to and actively build various international and national transitions. In addition, the student understands the microdynamics and ramifications of inequality, livelihoods, and survival.

a) The course is implemented as contact and/or online teaching, including literature and assignments (students of the Bachelor’s Programme in Society and Change).

b) A book examination

Annual completion methods will be specified in the teaching programme.

All completed components will be taken into account in assessment, while self-assessment is promoted.
