Museum Project 2

On successful completion of this course, you should be able to:

• Understand the nature of hands-on working life skills in museum work
• Critically reflect upon the processes and developments that led to current museum practices
• Integrate societal challenges into new museum work practices

Target group

Elective course for students of study module KUMA-MU5000. Recommended to have completed KUMA-MU501. Available to students from other study tracks and programmes.

Timing

This course is offered in the form of contact teaching every year. This course can be replaced by KUMA-MU513 (internship)

Completion method

The course is offered only in the form of contact teaching, with irregular meetings. Attendance requirements will be discussed at course start.

Activities and teaching methods in support of learning

The course consists of seminar (student-led) sessions, (guest) lectures, and museum visits. The completion of the course is evaluated through the group project and learning diary.
