What you need to know before the course

What you will learn

Students will learn how to examine and assess themes related to children and young people both in science and contemporary society while learning critical media literacy. Students will learn how to look at childhood through the lens of social research questions while taking into account themes related to intersectionality, including gender, ethnicity and class. Students will learn through groupwork and/or essay writing to develop their argumentation skills and understanding of the formation of childhood in society.
