Uses and politics of history (Political History)

After completing the course, the student is able to analyse the political and social use of interpretations of history. They are able to analyse the connections between historical representations and current political issues and to identify the roles of different actors in discussions concerning the past. They are able to identify and describe different theoretical perspectives on the political nature of history and apply them in their own analysis.

Arvioinnissa otetaan huomioon kaikki suoritusten osa-alueet ja edistetään itsearviointia.

Kohderyhmät

Opintojakso on vaihtoehtoinen Yhteiskunnallisen muutoksen kandidaattiopiskelijoille.

Mahdollinen avoimena yliopisto-opetuksena järjestettävä opetus ja sen opiskelijamäärät määritellään erikseen vuosittaisessa opetusohjelmassa.
