Time and place

The course is conducted as online studies in the Learn-Moodle workspace. The studies are supported by support clinics in Zoom.

Description

Content and dates

The recommended time used is eight weeks.

Learner's time use and workload

The course requires independent work. Time should be allocated for both studying the learning materials and completing assignments on a weekly basis. The student can manage their workload according to their own schedule.

Teaching methods

The course is conducted as an independent online implementation. The teacher's regular online clinics support the study throughout the implementation. The learning environment used is the Learn-Moodle platform. You can study preparatory courses, for example: when you want to test or practice your skills for upcoming university of applied sciences (UAS) studies or entrance exams if you need additional preparation during your UAS studies when completing pathway studies to smoothly transition from secondary education to higher education when you want to refresh your basic skills for your own enjoyment Students must have access to a computer, as digital learning environments and materials are used in the studies. https://www.hamk.fi/en/student-pages/it-services-for-students/it-rules-and-guidelines/

Optional complete methods of the study option

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) does not apply to preparatory studies. The course can be completed independently regardless of time and place.

Nonstop online course. You can start the study approximately one week after registration. The completion time for the study in the open university of applied sciences is 3 months. Open university of applied sciences students: Registration ends on June 4, 2026, at 23:59. The studies are paid for at the time of registration. All registered students can participate in the course.
