Methods of mental health support and substance abuse work

Soveltuu sairaanhoitajille, terveydenhoitajille ja kätilöille osaamisen syventämiseen ja päivittämiseen tai terveysalan amk-opiskelijalle, joka on suorittanut jo omassa tutkinnossaan aiheeseen liittyvät ammatilliset perusopinnot. Edellytyksenä syventäviin opintoihin siirtymiselle on n. 120 opintopistettä tai opon kanssa sovittu jokin muu erityinen syy. Avoimen amk:n opiskelijalla vastaavien tietojen hallinta (muiden AMKien vastaava opintojakso tai riittävä työkokemus sairaanhoitajana).

Students • know how to apply psychosocial approaches in mental health and substance abuse work • know how to describe and apply information on the significance of a confidential and supportive collaboration relationship in the treatment of various kinds of customers/patients • know how to apply their pharmacotherapy knowledge as they plan, execute and assess a patient’s pharmacotherapy • know how to analyse the main principles of community treatment, psychoeducation and debriefing • are familiar with the process of crisis work and know how to support customers of various ages in various life situations and guide them to appropriate crisis services • are familiar with the key Finnish methods of preventing and interfering in bullying in schools, daycare and work communities • participate in the job supervision of individuals, teams and work communities or job supervision discussions to develop their professionalism

AHOT 5/2021: Voidaan ahotoida vain, jos opiskelijalla on aikaisempi sairaanhoitajan tutkinto tai vastaavilla sairaanhoitajan tutkintoon johtavilla korkeakouluopinnoilla.
