No prerequisites

• To understand methods and applications of measurements, geoinformation, simulation and modeling in environmental engineering.
• To recognize how climate and natural phenomena, and their effects to environment, can be modelled and simulated.
• To recognize possibilities of remote sensing in environmental engineering.
• To recognize fundamentals how to establish land use, surface, water system and urban structure models.
• To recognize how such models can be applied.
• To understand methods of calculating, monitoring and measuring traffic and water resources.
• To recognize traffic related measuring, prediction, simulation and land-use models.
• To understand how to model the effects of traffic to the built environment.
• To recognize visualization alternatives of built environment (image products, 3D models, time series etc.).
• To understand various coordinate systems and how to apply them.
