Through film history thematic courses with variable content, students deepen their knowledge of the history of film.

Students become acquainted with different areas of film history, such as film genres, major directors, special themes, or interplay between film and other arts.

Film history thematic courses with variable content provide students with tools for analyzing and interpreting films and for discussing them critically.

Students are able to enrich their artistic expression through the knowledge of films, past and present.

Priority order to courses is according to the order of priority decided by the Academic committee for School of Arts, Design and Architecture, https//www.aalto.fi/en/services/registering-to-courses-and-the-order-of-priority-at-aalto-arts The maximum number of participants in the course is 45 students. The course will not be held if there are less than 5 students enrolled.
