Knowing: Interference and diffraction, X-ray diffraction; Schrödinger equation, probability in quantum mechanics , Heisenberg uncertainty principle, wave-particle dualism and photon; Quantum numbers, Paul s exclusion principle, periodic table of elements and spin; Solid state structure, bond types and band structure; Special theory of relativity: relativity and the speed of light; Radioactivity and decay law, nuclear reactions and binding energy.
Applying: Interference and diffraction in double slit, grid and thin film; Particle in potential well, discrete energy spectra and zero point energy; Scattering from potential wall and tunneling; Emission and absorption spectra; Conductors, semiconductors and insulators; Rest mass and relativistic energy; Fusion and fission.
Complementary material:
