1. Introduction to the implementation of safe pharmacotherapy
2. The Medication Process
Monitoring and Consulting a Medicated Patient
4. Enteral Medication
5. Parenteral Medication/Basics
6. Parenteral Medication/Injecting a Drug
7. Guidance and Counselling
8. Pain pharmaceutical chemicals, CNS drug and psychotropic drugs
9. Medication for the Elderly
10. Medication for the mentally disabled
11. Drug dosage calculations

Teaching methods
WHO: The course is intended for anyone interested in the subject. It is well suited for reviewing or strengthening the competence of, for example, socionomists, geronomists and local nurses in pharmacotherapy.
ACHIEVEMENT: The course is conducted independently at your own pace online. The course includes text and video material suitable for independent study with assignments and exams. It takes 2 weeks to 2 months to complete the studies, depending on the student's starting level. After completing the course, the student can print a certificate of course performance. The South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences does not issue pharmaceutical licenses, but the implementation of pharmaceutical treatment and pharmaceutical licenses are always taken care of and responsible for by the employer.
