Strategy in Action

Recommended prerequisites: Any basic course on strategic management (equivalent to 6 cr)

This course provides students with the basic understanding of the processes and practices through which strategy is implemented in organizations. Students learn the basic principles for facilitating strategic implementation through leadership, communications, and organizational design. The course familiarizes students with typical strategy processes and the variety of organizational roles involved in strategy implementation. The course also addresses the barriers and obstacles that may hinder strategic implementation. Teaching further involves the relevant current and emerging themes in strategy.

The number of participants is limited to 60. Students are admitted to the courses in the following priority order 1) Strategic Management in a Changing World / Global Management students, 2) People Management and Organizational Development / CEMS students, 3) BIZ exchange students, 4) other students.
