In this course, you will identify your own interests and apply the cutting-edge technologies revolutionizing biotechnology to solve problems that matter to you. After an introduction to the exciting opportunities offered by biotechnology, you will apply lessons learned to solve problems that are meaningful to you. Students from different study paths are welcome: creatives, entrepreneurs, and technologists.

If you participate more than one Future Biotechnologies course, you will have the option of developing a portfolio of material developed over the three classes. Completion of the portfolio is not mandatory for passing the course. The aim of the portfolio is to provide the student with an opportunity to work with the instructor to develop a unique and competitive profile in their research and/or industrial career. The portfolio will represent a tangible body of deliverables that can be shown to employers.
